ccXstream server

  • hi there. i'm having a little trouble setting up ccxstream server. i found this topic (linked below) but it seems a little old as its up to version 1.3 now and it doesn't work for me (maybe there is something i'm doing wrong?).

    i am using the linksys wireless 2.4g router (firmware version: v2.02.2). both my computer and my xbox are wireless. not sure if its my xbmc settings or something on the router i have to change or running ccxstream server as nt service or not. anyone using a linksys wireless router can help me out here?

    ps - i dont have any problems accessing xbmc through ftp or anything. just cant stream anything from my computer.

  • are you sure your ip address is 192.168.0.1? *that is an address that is usually occupied by a router. *if you're on windows, go to start, select run, and type "cmd" without the ""s. *it will bring up a command prompt. *type ipconfig and press enter. *it will tell you your ip address. *make sure that matches your configuration, as it looks fine.

  • 1) can you access your ccx share with ccx test? check that to eliminate your pc as the problem...

    2) can you post your configuration file (just the relevant part)? then we can see if it's configuration.

    why are you not sharing via smb? it's significantly better. i only use ccx for my tivo...

  • hi there...thanks for the suggestions. i can access my ccx share via the ccx test i think. it shows me the list thats i put in the ccx server but i can't actually get to them though...when i change directories and 'dir' it i get 'ccxtest: list dir ok'...is that right?

    i think it is xbmc .xml configuration or the settings in my wireless router...something i am suppose to change but dont know it yet or something. below is part of the xbmc .xml file i think you are asking to see? lemme know if this isn't it or need to know something else...

    ps - i didn't know smb was better. i thought ccx was. i would still like to get it working though if you still dont mind helping me out...
