  • Race based? Odd term, want to explain it?
    Plantations in America were staffed with Africans who were sold by their own chiefs for rum.
    Rubber plantations were staffed by Siamese and Chinese that the Burmese used.
    How you can get race into the picture is beyond me. It must be stretching the issue so you can paint white men as evil incanate
    Slavery still exists today. Do some research.


  • Plantations were in the south.Its hot and muggy.Blacks were readily available in Africa, as warring tribes and slavery speculators were quick to sell these people. The blacks were used to this type of climate, so they fit the bill .So on your plantation your gonna use people that will last in the humidity, and heat of the south.
