  • There is no rule against a 16 yr old chartering a coach, any more than there is against one hiring a taxi. However you may find that because you have no credit record the company may want payment in advance. They may also want a large returnable deposit against any damage being done to the vehicle.

    Note that it is not legal (for adults or children) to hire a coach and then sell tickets to "the public", but they can be sold to a restricted group such as members of a social club, or the hirers could pool their money in advance. (This is because selling tickets to anyone in general would make it a public service not a private charter, which needs different insurance).

    there are lots of cheap ways you can get to thorpe park depending on where you are coming from,
    theres is a thorpe park bus that goes from staines train station, which costs £3 per ride :]
