I broke my pinkie toe. Who knows what to do?

    I was in Physical Education class, and there is a few jerks in this class. So one of them chose to kick me in the ***...

    So I kicked him back in his elbow , and thats right your guessed it...

    I broke my darn toe.

    So does anyone know how or what to do about a broken pinkie toe?

    YEAH IT HURTS!!!


  • there's nothing that can be done for a broken pinky toe. just elevate it, ice it & take anti-inflammatories.


  • i just broke mine and you get over it. can't really do anything for a broken toe.


  • It needs to be immobilized either with a splint or buddy taping until it heals (usually 6-8 weeks).

    As a follow-up, do you know that it is broken via xrays, MD, etc, or are you just assuming it is broken because of the pain?


  • There's not too much you can do. If it's still looking completely normal and not pointing a strange way, the best thing to do is to use a bandaid or paper tape to strap it up to the toe next to it. This will mean you don't use it too much and it won't get moved around.

    If it is pointing in a strange direction it'd probably be a good idea to get it checked out - you wouldn't want to have it set in a crooked position. They'll probably just straighten it and tape it up, but they'll straighten it properly.
