UK Watchdog Marks New Turf

November 18th, 2008
UK Internet services provider and watchdog organization Virtual Internet is moving into the Asia Pacific region through its new base in Sydney.

While Virtual Internet will offer domain name registration and Web hosting for a range of enterprises, the company is also seeking to establish its protection service.

The Virtual Internet protection tool, Net Searchers, will enable trademark and specialists, lawyers, trademark directors, celebrities, brand managers and industry associations to patrol the Internet for infringements and intellectual property violations.

Initially, the company is launching two main sets of services, the first aimed at ISPs and Web developers who will have the option of outsourcing Web-hosting requirements to Virtual Internet, and the second a more flexible hosting service catering for small to medium companies that are using or planning to use the Internet as a commercial platform in the future.
