Tricky car sale..not sure how to put it out in words in a bill of sale? Best answer on the web
(seller) hereby transfers ownershp of (carA) (VIN) to (buyer) in exchange for $9000 cash and (vehicle B) (VIN) considering (Vehicle B) has a value of $XXX
OR
Do a bill of sale for his car, showing you paid $9500, and a bill of sale for your car, showing he paid you $500. Net Net its the same, and much cleaner.
Make sure tha thte bills of sale include statements that vehciles are free of any liens, and are sold as is, where is with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied.
